I really don't know where to start..but it would help a lot if you liked my facebook page - "Raising Awareness For Alzheimer's Disease" I would like to learn more about this disease and also teach others, eventually making this world-wide but i cannot do this alone. Every opinion counts :)Desminhttp://www.facebook.com/pages/Raising-Awareness-for-Alzheimers-Disease/175994589136469?sk=wall#!/pages/Raising-Awareness-for-Alzheimers-Disease/175994589136469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8024461.post-85935562802397483472011-06-26T10:25:34.795-04:002011-06-26T10:25:34.795-04:00My father died of AD last November. But, honestly, my WORST memories are spending Father's Day (or any holiday) with him in the memory care unit where he spent his last two years of his life, pretending he had clue what the celebration was even about. I was actually thankful that neither us have to go through that torture anymore. I miss him - but, as you wrote Bert, faking it and forcing it was brutal.hadleyhttp://yournameisjack.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8024461.post-75976628910970485602011-06-16T20:05:49.660-04:002011-06-16T20:05:49.660-04:00Hi Bobbi, I am @missbert on Twitter.Hi Bobbi, I am @missbert on Twitter.GBP })i({https://www.blogger.com/profile/09275995534174189926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8024461.post-88388615547686904022011-06-15T12:49:42.994-04:002011-06-15T12:49:42.994-04:00My father has been dead over 12 years, however, I ...My father has been dead over 12 years, however, I still celebrate to honor my husband and son. Mother's Day was difficult because it is my Mom who has Alzheimer's and it was her first in a nursing home. Sisters and I are having a very difficult time with the nursing home concept, yet it has gotten better over the last few months. I can relate your experience with your father urinating in the corner, my Mom would get up in the middle of the night asking "Where is the chambers?" Do you realize I have not heard that word used since the 1960's?debora.mackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03804596593977035262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8024461.post-58181069080360967442011-06-15T12:23:39.558-04:002011-06-15T12:23:39.558-04:00Hi. My mother-in-law has been diagnosed with the disease and is in a care facility. Feeling your pain...Bobbi S.<br />How do I get to you on Twitter? I am @BobbiPlum.Bobbinoreply@blogger.com
